The Good, the Bad, and the Indifferent
The Good:
Battlestar Galactica: My friend J.P. let me borrow the first 2 DVD sets. I'm almost through with the first, and I've got to say it's been a long time since I've been excited by a TV series like that (well . . . the first season of Lost, which wasn't long ago, but I have more to say about that).
V for Vendetta: Janet and I saw it in Chattanooga. It was very well done. Natalie Portman was great, but what was amazing was how much emotion Hugo Weaving was able to put into his character even though he wore mask the entire time.
The Bad: I rented Walk the Line. I'm amazed at the good reviews. Reese Witherspoon was excellent, but that was about it.
The Indifferent: What the heck is going on in Lost? I keep waiting for it to "get good again." I remember there were a couple of clunkers in the first season, but this time it's ridiculous. Plus ABC isn't helping any by letting us go weeks at a time without a new episode. I guess I'm spoiled by having watched the first season on DVD.
That's all for now. My brother and niece are coming over for some fun with me and Kathleen.
